Tip of the Day — Oct. 4

Wondering which vegetables can still be planted in October? LSU AgCenter says cabbage, broccoli (transplants), turnips, collards, kale, parsley, shallots, radishes, beets, leaf lettuce, celery, onions, Swiss chard, garlic and carrots. Endive,  mustard,  spinach and Chinese cabbage should be planted early in the month.
